Kevin Walters

​

Kevin Walters is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. During law school he received highest honors in Criminal Procedure, gained valuable experience working at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office and Orleans Public Defenders, was an active member in the Criminal Defense Society, and served on the steering committee of the Berkeley Law chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.

Kevin began his legal career at Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, where he spent three years in the Housing Law Unit. While at SLLS, Kevin represented over 500 low-income tenants facing eviction and related issues, including the successful appeal of an unlawful eviction to the Louisiana Fourth Circuit (JoAnn Place v. Ricard, 356 So.3d 518 (La. App. 4 Cir. 2022)).

Kevin began working with Bosworth Legal in February 2024. His practice focuses on criminal defense work, including post-conviction relief applications and trial matters in state and federal court. He is licensed to practice in all state courts in Louisiana, the Eastern District of Louisiana, and has passed the California bar with admission currently pending.

Kevin is a thoughtful and committed advocate who brings an empathetic, client-centered approach to Bosworth Legal. Besides his work as a litigator, Kevin enjoys additional competition as an avid chess player, runner, and softball player.
